Easy & Fluffy White Rice in the Instant Pot

This is a fast, simple, pure and flawless recipe. White rice is a perfect side for saucy and savory dishes. Trying to track your macros, these count almost entirely as carbs making it great for meal planning.

Easy & Fluffy White Rice in the Instant Pot


  • 320g (2 cups) White rice

  • 500ml (2 cups) water


  1. Place the rice in a large bowl and fill with water until covered. Rinse the rice by swirling using your fingertips. Pass through a fine mesh strainer and repeat until the water is clear. It should take about 3-5 times.

  2. Place the rice and clean water in the Instant Pot.

  3. Close the lid and set the valve to "Sealing"

  4. Press "Rice" button or "Pressure Cook" button and set for 12 minutes

  5. Turn off the "Keep Warm" function by clicking the "Keep Warm" button.

  6. After the rice has finished cooking, let the pressure release naturally or until the pressure valve drops (20 minutes)

  7. Fluff the rice

  8. It's time to eat.
